Ayo got to see the Rockies, the Statue of Liberty and Geneva’s Jet d’Eau in 24 hours. That was kind of fun.
Less fun was to discover we had no bassinet for our 15 hour journey. So we made a bed for him using his familiar cream pack n play sheet and the Moby Wrap (which came in handy when we heard the pilot saying the aircraft had some mechanical error and had to leave the runway to to disembark – boo!). None of us got a ton of sleep in the freezing plane but he did get some naps lying down. We might or might have left him on the ground for take off. As they say, never wake a sleeping baby.. at least, not during sleep-time. All things considered, Ayo did so well. And we arrived to a welcoming home, fresh food and mamie and papi trying hard to contain their excitement. 😉

He definitely loves both Papa and Papi (his grandpa)! Ayo is what we sometimes call him in French, using part of his middle name. I use it here so that the poor kid won’t have too much of a digital footprint before he has the chance to create.. or wreck his own! 🙂
That’s so weird about the bassinet! Did they not count a baby in y’alls reservation? I hope you didn’t have to pay for him even if it was just 100euros??
